Confidence 30 Day Challenge – Portrait of Grace: Courage Builder Devotional #2

Day 2:

What does confidence mean? The dictionary explains it as:

con·fi·dence [ kónfidənss ]con·fi·dences Plural

1.  belief in own abilities: self assurance or a belief in your ability to succeed

“lacked the confidence needed to reach the top”

2.  faith in somebody to do right: belief or trust in somebody or something, or in the ability of somebody or something to act in a proper, trustworthy, or reliable manner

“I have total confidence in her judgment.”

3. secret: something told to somebody that is to be kept private

4. trusting relationship: a relationship based on trust and intimacy

Why is #2 to closest to true, real, reliable confidence described in the Bible?

If you are feeling less than confident today, meditate on this verse:

Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.
(2 Corinthians 3:4-5)

Día 2

¿Que significa confianza? El diccionario la define así:

(Kónfidanss)          Plural

(2 Corintios 3:4-5)
